My family wanted to restore the now 125 year old building (2024) that once housed the Roseville Store, in Roseville Iowa. It was started and operated by my Great Grandfather Peter Koenigsfeld and continued to be operated by my Grandfather Lawrence Koenigsfeld. It was an ambitious goal to move the building 6 miles to the site of the Cedar Valley Engine Club. Many hours of work by volunteers have the store looking fantastic and it is like time stood still inside as numerous original items are on display. While I was working on the website to document the restoration, I was drawn to photos (only 3 existed) of my Grandfather in the 1939 Chevy Delivery Truck. I spent 5 years searching for a vehicle to use to recreate this and park outside the restored Roseville Store.
This original Roseville Store sign was bent in half and found in the garage. I straighten it out and repainted it.
My Grandfather, Lawrence Koenigsfeld, taking inventory for deliveries.
I found a period correct DX sign to put by the store like the one that originally stood by the store and gas pump.
We had a graphic artist spend a great deal of time re-creating the Clover Farm Stores logo.
We used vinyl decals for Peter Koenigsfeld and the Roseville, IA lettering.
